They say that knowing oneself and really understanding oneself is one of the most important things one can do in life. Many people don’t take the time to do so. Also, our relationships with others our a reflection of the relationships we have with ourselves. In other words, our feelings toward other people are representative of the feelings we have toward ourselves.
So my question is are others necessary to help us understand ourselves?

I consider the constant advertising on all channels of TV & Radio by Harvey Norman as little more than brainwashing. It has reached the point of using the mute button on the remote
every time their advert appears on sceen and turning off the radio when I hear it start. On principal due to this constant advertising I will not shop at their stores. I understand there has to be advertising but do not want to be told over and over
again during a programme of the many sales and
the offers of no payment for long periods of time. There are many others but I find this company the worst. At times the
same items are advertised within few minutes of each other.
If the watchdogs are contacted, the reply is pages of facts
and figures to prove the companies are within the guidelines.
Thank goodness for the ABC.Long may they remain advertising free.

Isn’t all art and beauty in the eye of the beholder? If I think Magritte, Dix, Van Gogh, Monet, and Raphael are great and Harring, Pollock, and Warhol are totally over-rated, how is my opinion worth any less than someone who has taken lots of art appreciating and art history classes?
\
Who gets to determine what is great and important art and what isn’t?

Our political world is surrounded by art and images we put together with different meanings, (eg: a good leader). Leaders have used artwork to persuade us in many ways for many many years.

How does art created for a dictator differ from art created for a freely elected leader? In what was is it the same?

I am opening an online business for website design. (set up as a LLC, I’m the sole owner) Should I start keeping receipts of all business related expenses? Or would my business qualify as a hobby if I don’t make a certain amount of money in the year that I’m filing.

What types of things can I write off onto my business? (dinners, gasoline, etc.) Do I need a seperate business credit card/bank account for the expenses?

Do I have to accept payments towards the business’s services through a corporate account, or can they make the check/payment directly to me?
